“Gwen Agna is a fierce advocate for children and for public schools, and has been an educator for decades. In these difficult times, as a parent and an educator myself, I can’t imagine anyone I’d rather have on the school committee.”

Laura Briggs, Professor, Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies, UMass Amherst

***Since there is a rise in COVID cases (though not hospitalizations) , we plan to hold the rest of our events so there’s an option to be outside. Masks, of course, are welcome and will be available.***

From personal observation, I can testify as to Gwen’s skills as an educator and as a leader.  She respects people with different backgrounds and a variety of points of view and is a good listener.  She is pro-educators and, at the same time, a sensible custodian of our tax dollars.

A Word of Thanks from Gwen:

Dear ALL who joined me for our Campaign Launch Party on September 12 at the Florence Civic Center! I am truly overwhelmed by your support – whether you were there or not! As reluctant as I was to mount a campaign, the up sides of it include seeing how our community can come together in support of our children as well as their families and their educators. A very special thank you to the speakers: Lila Nields Duffy, Andrea Ayvazian, Tiffany Jewel, Zara Usman, Jo Comerford, and Bill Dwight. Your words still ring in my mind and serve to energize and motivate me to stay on this path. Thank you to Noah Daube-Valois, for his very fine keyboard/piano playing as well as taking photos! Thank you to Stephanie Flincker and The Heart of the Valley Quartet for their song to end the program. I like Tea & coffee too! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
